Salute to Martyrs Project in partnership with Gautam Gambhir Foundation supports the children of martyrs from para-military forces with a mission to protect, nourish and strengthen children, who possess talent, qualities & skills but due to lack of accessibility to resources, remain deprived from mainstream. The foundation ensures their education continues and also provides psycho-social support to the children to overcome the trauma. In the first phase, the company has extended support to 6 children. Supporting these children is also a way of showing gratitude to the Martyrs, who laid down their lives for the country.
To economically strengthening the marginalised communities, The Company in partnership with Abhivyakti Media has conceptualized the project to explore the livelihood opportunities in North Maharashtra region with available resources. Value addition in areas such as agriculture, livestock management, non-timber forest produce, bee keeping will lead to sustainable income for many people. The project has been designed to support community based entrepreneurship opportunities in 15 villages of Trimbakeshwar block of Nashik district.
During the spread of Covid 19, the economy was struggling to provide employment thus many people returned back to their native places. The project aims to give a livelihood option to the reverse migrants.
The Project was designed and conceptualized to spread awareness on various social issues through Radio. It is the most affordable and available medium of information in rural India and people rely overwhelmingly on it, particularly on All India Radio – the official broadcast media of the Government for information.
30 weekly 5 minute audio programs were produced and broadcasted on every Wednesday on All India Radio in Rajasthan. These programs covered topics like water conservation, immunity, nutrition, health & hygiene, open defection etc. The project provided the company an opportunity to reach to large number of people with social message on issues faced by the communities at large.
The company is supporting Niveda Foundation for running a non-formal education centre in Nitahri village of Noida. The learning centre provides basic pre-primary and primary education to non-school going children. The project also facilitates the admission of these children in formal schools and extends continuous support to them. Around 120 children have already benefitted through this project.
COVID 19 has affected the livelihood of millions of people. Due to negligible pilgrimage the income of the women, who make, supply and sell the garlands offered at the Badrinath temple has diminished significantly.
The company is supporting Samvriddhi Foundation to conceptualize and implement the Project BELA (Badrivishaal Empowerment and Livelihood Activities) to provide sustainable livelihood to the affected women in the village Bamni Badrinath. This project has provided a platform to women to sell garlands and Prasad online, through a dedicated web portal.
The company has supported Shikshantar Sansthan for the Swaraj Jail University project in Udaipur Central Jail to help inmates explore their passions in Music, gain practical skills through vocational, entrepreneurship and leadership training and re- ignite self-esteem. It has established a proper Music Academy/Recording Studio in the Udaipur Jail where the learner inmates are able to write, compose and record their own songs.
The company has supported The National Association for the Blind for construction of Boys Hostel for 06 to 14 years visually challenged children at NAB residential resource and vocational training center in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
The National Association for the Blind works with visually impaired people of all age groups, and runs a number of programs that range from providing integrated education and Vocational Training to visually impaired children and adults, to designing certifiable courses and recording audio books for them.
The company has installed 20 solar street lights in the main village road connecting Jagram Ki Dhani to Chandla Dungrwas situated in Manesar area of Gurgaon district of Haryana. In rural areas, electrification of public spaces including roads, is very limited. This leads to many problems for the local residents, including possible criminal activities. The project has benefitted nearly 1500 people.
The company has distributed tablets to 160 students from economically weaker section of the Society in Delhi. These tablets helps the students to attend online classes, completing assignments and taking part in assessments, without disruption in their curriculum.
On the request of organizing authority, The Company distributed more than 12000 cotton cloth bags at Maha Kumb, Haridwar in February and March 2020 to reduce the use of single use plastic bags.
